Frasco Mortiz, Son Of Edgar Mortiz, Describes His Young Actors In 'The Reunion'

YOUNG DIRECTOR Frasco Mortiz is the son of Edgar Mortiz and Milette Santos (sister of Charo and Malou). Now 33, he started directing with “Goin’ Bulilit” in 2005. He has since helmed “Gud Taym”, episodes in “Your Song”, “Kapitan Boom”, “Eva Fonda”, and the “Braso” segment in the omnibus horror flick “Cinco”.

He now megs his first full length film, “The Reunion”, about the misadventures of four friends after high school. How would he describe his cast?

Xian Lim is a sensitive actor,” he says. “He’s an introvert and doesn’t easily open up. Si Enchong Dee, very serious on screen but sobrang kulit in real life. He’s a reliable actor. Kean Cipriano, siya ang pinaka-raw. Rock star siya who ventured into acting. Wala siyang background sa soaps like the others kaya natural na natural ang acting niya, walang bahid ng technique. Enrique Gil is the youngest among them. Naughty siya on screen but he’s really serious, laidback and the coolest as he receives instructions well. Silang napili namin for the movie kasi bagay na bagay sila sa roles nila. I’m glad they clicked together and really became a barkada while shooting the movie.”
