AFTER THE ELIMINATION night last Sunday, the remaining top 15 aspirants in “Protege” will be featured in five short films where they all get to act with Maricel Soriano, directed by Cannes Filmfest best director Dante Mendoza and written by Palanca awardee Floy Quintos, to be aired on Protégé this Sunday, August 26.
In “Maria Dolorosa”, Maricel will act with North and Central Luzon protégés Japs de Luna, Shelly Hipolito and Reese Tayag under Ricky Davao. In “Nang Managinip si Stella Maris”, she’s with Jeric Gonzales, Thea Tolentino and Arny Ross, South Luzon protégés of Gina Alajar. In “Si Mommy, Si Maryan, Si Mario at Si Marjo”, she’s with Bryan Benedict, Zandra Summer and Mikoy Morales, Visayan protégés under Jolina Magdangal. In “Aba Ginoong Maria” she’s with Mindanao proteges Ruru Madrid, David John Llanas and Steffi Pacheco under Phillip Salvador. In “Ms. Santa Maria” she’s with Mega Manila proteges Elle Ramirez, Andres Vasquez and Vien Alen King under Roderick Paulate.
The protégés took an acting workshop under Pen Medina. Let’s see who among them will shine and who’ll be doomed in their short films with the Diamond Star tomorrow in “Protege” after “I Bilib” on GMA-7.
