MARIEL RODRIGUEZ turned 28 on Aug. 10 and she celebrated it with the flood victims of West Fairview with husband Robin Padilla. She used the money meant for her birthday party in buying food items and toiletries for the refugees in the relief center and Robin was so proud of her.
Aside from “Wiltime Big Time” on TV5, she’ll now host a web TV show on PinoyRealTV, “Love On Line”, an inspirational show that starts its 1st webisode this Sunday, August 19, which happens to be the second anniversary of their Aug. 19, 2010 wedding in Taj Mahal, India. It will show people true love does exist, with her and Robin as the perfect example.
“In our modern world today where living in and exclusively dating is so common, I suggest taking the marital plunge when you’re sure it’s love,” she says. “That’s what I did and everyday I‘m living that life now: being the wife of an action superstar and a Muslim. My new web show is about our similarities and differences, our everyday life and journey together, reflecting the world as I see it and my world is Robin Padilla.”
It’s apparent she’s so happy being married to him. “I love Robin so much. He makes me smile and laugh, he gives meaning to my life. I thank God for all the blessings I receive and one of them is Robin. We still have a long journey but I’m not afraid as long as he is always there beside me. Just thinking of him makes me smile. I’m happy and contented with my life, I’m so at peace with myself.”
Her show is the first reality show about a local showbiz couple. It’s reminiscent of such reality shows of Paris Hilton, the Osbournes and the Kardashians. It’ll show their various travels abroad. It’s a pity it’s only available on the web. We’re sure their fans would also love to watch it on regular TV stations. Mariel is also shooting the movie “Kuratong Baleleng” with Robin, his daughter Kylie and nephew Daniel. How about having their own baby soon? “Wala pa sa plano namin yan. Later na lang siguro.”
