Marvelous Alejo Is The Highest Pointer Among The Singers In 'Artista Academy'S First Live Exams

MARVELOUS ALEJO is the “Artista Academy” student who got the highest score in singing in their first live exams. Critics Lorna Tolentino, Gelli de Belen, Direk Mac Alejandre and Wilma Galvante gave her a very high score ranging from 93 to 95. Has she had formal singing lessons?

“Wala po,” says the 16-year old Marvs. “I didn’t expect it at all to be on top. First time ko rin to show a search like this at wala akong anumang experience sa showbiz.”

The eldest of five kids, her dad is a seaman. “Nagkausap na kami sa cellphone and he’s so happy naging finalist ako sa ‘Artista Academy’, kaya lang I have to stop my studies sa Araneta University where I’m taking up vet med.”

Her family lives in Bulacan and for two days, she wasn’t able to go to the Artista Academy school due to the floods. “Ang taas ng tubig sa lugar namin kaya hindi ako masundo ng Artista Academy official bus.”

She believes she really excels in singing. “Acting, okay rin. But when it comes to dancing, hirap talaga ako lalo na sa choreographed na sayaw. I really need to improve on my dancing.”
