“I’ve done another film with them, the rom-com ‘Ride to Love’, pero mauunang ipalabas itong ‘Pridyider’, which is a horror movie,” she says. “I haven’t seen the entire film but just the trailer and some scenes in the in ‘The Making of ‘Pridyider’, but I’m already so proud of it. Ang ganda ng kinalabasan. Very fulfilling pala yung makita mo yung resulta ng pinagtrabahuhan nyo.”
Didn’t she find it hard to act in front of a movie camera? “I took a lot of acting workshops in preparation for this. But it’s best to ask Director Rico Ilarde how I fared in the movie.”
So we did ask Direk Rico how her acting is. “For someone so new, she’s quite good,” says Direk Rico. “Comedian ang dating niya rito as Celine, someone who’s kikay-kikay as Andi’s best friend. Most of her scenes are with Andi or Bekimon as her alalay. I just told her to get in touch with her inner child and she came out natural.”
Venus admits she’s very much in love with DJ Andrei Felix who she met at ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda”. “He’s very sweet and it helps na lagi kaming magkasama sa show for us to be closer to each other. We’re going nga to Hongkong together for a coverage. I’ve had a boyfriend before in Bicol but this is my first serious relationship at handa akong ipaglaban ito kahit may family members akong against our relationship,” she says.
