TIPPY DOS SANTOS sang a heartfelt version of “Nakapagtataka” at the grand presscon of “I Do Bidoo Bidoo” and the writers present were quite impressed. She feels so lucky to be Sam Concepcion’s leading lady and the daughter of Zsa Zsa Padilla and Gary Valenciano in the musical based on the songs of APO.
“I’m comfortable with Sam as we’ve worked before on stage in ‘Peter Pan’ and it’s great to be working with Tita Zsa Zsa, Tito Gary and also Ogie Alcasid and Eugene Domingo who play Sam’s parents,” she says. “They’re all experienced performers so I was nervous at first, but they all turned out to be very nice and supportive. A newcomer like me surely learned a lot from them. Ang babait nilang lahat, pati si Tito Jimmy Fabregas who played my strict lolo in the story and Direk Chris Martinez who guided me all the way.”
Her real name is Stefanie Denise and she turned 18 last August 16. She was first introduced by ABS-CBN in the short-lived Sarah Geronimo soap, “Idol”. Then she appeared in “Sabel”, “Growing Up” and now, “The Princess and I” in the role of Adriana. “I Do Bidoo Bidoo” is her debut movie and she feels proud to be part of it as it’s now getting rave reviews and was graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board, which means it’d get 100% tax rebates.
