Ogie Alcasid On Why He Agreed To Appear In His Briefs In Love Scene With Eugene Domingo

OGIE ALCASID celebrated his 45th birthday on August 27 and “I Do Bidoo” opens nationwide today, August 29, so he says it’s his special birthday presentation. On his birthday, he had a fund-raising golf tournament at Capitol Hills near where he and wife Regine Velasquez live. This is for the benefit of the Kapuso Foundation. His special birthday wish is for the public to watch the movie and make it a hit.

He and Eugene Domingo did a scene in “I Do Bidoo Bidoo” that is bound to be talked about. It’s a love scene between husband and wife after a misunderstanding, to the tune of the classic “Di Na Natuto”. It ends with them both in their undies, with Ogie wearing oversized white briefs.

“When I was told we’d do that scene, ni hindi ako nakapaghanda,” he says. “Sana man lang, nakapag-work out ako. But I’m an artist, so I have to do it, for the sake of art. Tapos, sila ang nagbigay ng isinuot kong briefs na malaki’t maluwag nga sa’kin. Comedy naman daw ang dating so ginawa ko na.”

While he’s busy promoting his movie, Regine is also busy promoting hers, “Of All The Things”. “Pareho kaming may pelikula, sana parehong kumita,” Ogie adds. “After her movie is shown in September, we all fly to Singapore to meet sina Michelle and my daughters there. First time nila to meet their brother Nate.”
