“Dahil love team kami noon, hanggang ngayon, marami pa ring nagtatanong sa’kin kung bakit hindi kami nagkatuluyan ni Jestoni,” says Rita. “We were good friends but there was never any romantic involvement between us. When he got married and had kids, kinuha pa nga nila ako ng wife niyang si Lizette para maging ninang ng anak nila. We’re both glad to work together again in ‘Sana ay Ikaw Na Nga’.”
Rita is sad as intrigues about her resignation from “Walang Hanggan” won’t stop. Didn’t she resign due to health reasons? “Yes, there’s segmental dysfunction in my neck. Some discs have undergone degeneration and thinning so I was advised to rest. Two months ako nagpahinga and it helped a lot. Tapos the offer from GMA came. I asked my doctor kung puede na ko mag-work uli and he said yes so tinanggap ko ito. Aside from that, may malicious tsismis na I texted daw an actor and his wife got jealous. I was so clueless na ako pala yun and the actor and his wife are Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres. I don’t even know Goma’s number, so how can I text him? I’m so glad Lucy herself said on TV5 that no such thing happened. She even said I’m so nice and she has nothing but good words for me. She felt sad nga raw about the foul write-ups on me. I’m so grateful to her for clarifying that issue. Tapos, galit daw ako kay Eula Valdes for taking over my role. Eula and I text each other. Pinagtatanggol ko pa nga siya doon sa mga galit sa character niya sa Twitter. We have no gap. Nasangkot pa ang dolls ko. I’m crazy daw as I brought them sa set. Kaya ko dinala yung dolls sa set, pinadala nila, gusto raw nila makita. In good faith, I brought them naman. Yun pala, so they can judge me as crazy. Sabi ko nga, those who don’t like dolls will definitely not understand my situation. Haaay! I really don’t know why ginagawaan ako ng issue sa ABS. Basta ang alam ko, umalis ako nang maayos.
