THE FIRST NATIONWIDE search for Miss Casino Filipino last year was so successful so Miss Casino Filipino 2012 is now open to all single Filipinas 18 to 25 years old with a heart for public service. PAGCOR’s AVP for Entertainment Bong Quintana says they look for someone who’s beautiful inside and out. Last year’s winner, Catrine Rosary Ocampo, 19, is a willowy 5’8” travel management major from UST who represented our country in the Queen of the World Pageant in Berlin last December. She became one of the 15 finalists. Who won the title?
“It’s Miss Poland,” she says. “It’s the first time our country was represented in that pageant and I was one of the three Asians who’s in the finals. The others were Miss China and Miss Thailand. It’s my first time to go abroad at nataong ang lamig-lamig pa noon. We also got the chance to visit Poland from Berlin.”
She won P300,000 then, with PAGCOR also helping her advocacy which is to give education to the poor. This year, the prizes are much bigger.
