ANDI EIGENMANN plays the lead role of Tina in “Pridyider”, a balikbayan from San Francisco who returns home for the property her parents, Janice de Belen and Joel Torre, left behind. In their old house, there is a refrigerator or “pridyider” that eats people like Baron Geisler, Venus Raj, Bekimon and Ronnie Lazaro. Would she wish that the father of her baby, Albie Casino, would also be eaten by the deadly pridyider?
“No, ayokong basta makain lang siya ng fridge,” she says at the film’s presscon at Imperial Palace. “That would be too easy an exit for him. Gusto ko, pagdaanan niya ang mga dapat niyang pagdaanan sa buhay niya. But let’s not talk about him anymore. I’ve moved on at hindi ko na nga naaalala kung anong hitsura niya so huwag nyo na i-remind sa’kin.”
“Pridyider” is her first movie after she gave birth to her daughter Ellie. How does she feel that her comeback movie is a horror flick? “When Mother Lily got me for a new project, I was thinking sana horror movie kasi ang dami kong napanood na horror movies made by Regal and I want to be part of them. Tapos heto nga, horror ang binigay sa’kin so I’m so glad about it. In all honesty, hindi ko ine-expect na makabalik ako agad sa movies. I know it’d be hard after what I went through. I now feel so blessed and thankful that I was quickly given another chance. I’m just hoping people would watch and support ‘Pridyider’.”
