“Takot na takot nga ako as it’s not the usual Star Cinema ending,” she says. “But from Day 1, yun na talaga ang ending na gusto namin ng scriptwriter, si Vanessa Valdez. I know it’s risky, but there’s no other way we can end the movie but like this. When I pitched the movie kina Charo and Malou Santos, it’s on the condition na hindi puedeng baguhin ang ending. E, nagandahan naman sila. At ngayon, yung mga nakapanood na ng movie, nagandahan din, so it’s a risk worth taking.”
She started shooting the movie with Derek Ramsay as the lead actor. Then Derek left ABS-CBN so he was replaced by John Lloyd. Would the movie be as successful if Derek played the part?
“We don’t know, but kung si Derek ang gumanap, ang personalidad niya ang lalabas sa movie, so it would be different as we would have adjusted the character to him. Pero iba talaga ang chemistry nina Bea at John Lloyd. We have scenes na kahit hindi mo idetalye, alam na nila ang gagawin nila. Kahit ina-adlib na lang nila, natural na natural pa rin ang dating.”
What kind of movie would she like to do next? “A period movie. I’d really want to try that.”
