THE AFTERNOON soap launching the love team of Mikael Daez and Andrea Torres, “Sana ay Ikaw na Nga”, starts airing today, replacing Jackie Rice’s “Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka?” After them, GMA-7 will next launch Bela Padilla in the title role of “Magdalena”, to be helmed by Gina Alajar. Bela admits she’s now nervous about it but wants to thank GMA-7 for giving her this break at solo stardom. “It’s about a sinful woman and the material is quite daring so I’m willing to do whatever Direk Gina would ask me to para mapaganda ang show,” she says.
One of her leading men is Gina’s own son, Ryan Eigenmann, whose wife Cathy is now preggy with their second child, a boy. Their first born is a girl so they now have a pair. Ryan says he’s excited about “Magdalena” as this is first time his mom would get to direct him. But Bela’s main leading man will be Dion Ignacio.
