Eddie Garcia's Kissing Scene With Rez Cortez In 'Bwakaw' Is Nothing Compared To His Kissing Scene With The Late Mario O'Hara In 'Tubog Sa Ginto'

WE DON’T know why the kissing scene of Eddie Garcia and Rez Cortez in “Bwakaw”, now showing in theaters, seems like a big thing for a lot of people when Eddie has done it before. Eddie is actually the one who kisses Rez, a tricycle driver he befriends, while Rez is asleep after getting drunk. Rez is turned off by it, gets mad and leaves.

In “Tubog sa Ginto”, directed by the late Lino Brocka in 1974, Eddie also plays a closet gay who has a hot affair with a hustler, played by the late Mario O’Hara. They have several sizzling scenes, notably in the shower, where their kissing is really of the “laplapan” type. Eddie has also played a gay role in “Paruparong Buking” and “Reyna”, but his role as Mang Rene in “Bwakaw” is the most touching of all.
