Why? Isn’t she ready to be a stepmom to the senator’s twins? “Naku, hindi ko iniisip yun. Basta I’m prioritizing myself now. I’m not getting any younger.”
She says it’s Sen. Miriam Santiago who’s her matchmaker. “She has a list of guys and she tells me, ito ang mga puede. She was the one who set me up with the senator kasi she wants me daw to see what else is out there at hindi yung puro mga artista lang ang nakikilala ko.”
What can she say now that ex-BF Daniel Matsunaga has moved to TV5 and is now in three shows? “Good for him. We’re really good friends. No bitterness between us and it’s nice to be friends with your ex. Mabait naman yun, kaya lang I felt it’s not working. Nag-aral na ko ng Portuguese to communicate with him but I know when it’s time to end a relationship that is not working.”
She now plays the grown-up Blanca in Book 3 of “Luna Blanca”. “I’m so glad I was assigned the Luna role who’s black at kay Bianca King napunta. Nagawa ko na kasi yan noon sa ‘Luna Mystica’ at mahirap siya.”
What did she do in between her last soap, “Legacy”, and “Luna Blanca”? “Nagbakasyon ako abroad. Basically I rested, but I also did Chika Minute in’24 Oras’ and guested in other GMA shows like ‘Tropang Potchi’. Then lumalabas kami nina Lovi Poe and Alex de Rossi. We maintained our friendship even after ‘Legacy’.”
What happens in “Luna Blanca 3”? “Mapupunta ko kay Christopher de Leon, my dad who was Raymart Santiago before. Aapihin ako ng mother niya, Marissa Delgado, at wife niya, si Carmi Martin. Ilang beses na kong nasampal dito. Masama loob ko sa mother ko, now played by Lani Mercado, kasi I thought iniwan niya ko. Eventually, I’ll meet my sister, Bianca, and we’ll be rivals over Mark Herras, who plays the Kristofer Martin role of Joaquin.”
