Lovi Poe On Her Memorable Experiences In The Very First International Filmfest She Attended

LOVI POE can never forget her recent trip to the Venice Filmfest as part of the “Thy Womb” delegation. “It’s my first time to attend an international film festival and it’s really a great unforgettable experience, especially working on the red carpet,” she says. “Also memorable is the standing ovation we got for 5 minutes after the gala screening. I feel so proud to be part of the film.”

The black gown she got also good reviews and many were impressed by her morena beauty. “Actually, that time, pagod na pagod pa kami. I wasn’t even able to put on make up. Nag-lipstick lang ako and tied my hair kasi walang time to prepare. Kaya nakakatuwang nagustuhan pa rin nila ako.”

In “Thy Womb”, Lovi plays the young girl that an infertile Badjao midwhife, Nora Aunor, chose to be the babymaker for her and her husband, Bembol Roco. She’s now shooting two new films, “The Bride and the Lover”, for Director Joel Lamangan and “Shake Rattle & Roll 14”, “Unwanted” episode, with Vhong Navarro for Director Chito Rono. “I feel so fortunate to be working with the country’s best directors. After Direk Dante, Chito Rono naman ngayon so ang suwerte ko, di ba?”

GMA-7 has also given her a new soap, “Yesterday’s Bride” (formerly “Borrowed Wife” which we think is a more intriguing title), with Rocco Nacino as her leading man.
