Luis Manzano On The Rumor That He'S About To Split From Jennylyn Mercado

WE ASKED Luis Manzano at the presscon of “This Guy’s in Love with U, Mare” if it’s true that he’s about to split from Jennylyn Mercado as he allegedly got jealous after Jen was implicated in the Paolo Contis-Lian paz breakup?

“Wala pong ganung nangyari,” he says. “Walang pagkakalabuang naganap. From Day One, hindi kami nagkalabuan at all. Kami pa rin. Nagtataka nga kami kung bakit may mga lumalabas na ganyang balita.”

In “This Guy’s in Love with U”, he plays Mike, the boyfriend of Vice Ganda as Lester. Direk Wenn Deramas says Luis didn’t have any second thoughts about accepting the role. “Alam niyang karelasyon siya rito ng bakla at may love scene pa sila ni Vice, pero okay lang sa kanya,” adds Direk Wenn.

“This is our fifth movie ni Vice together, so bakit naman ako tatanggi,” says Luis. “Sabi ko nga, kailangan paabutin namin sa aming 10th year, parang John Lloyd-Bea na nag-10th anniversary na.”

The conflict happens when Luis falls in love with Toni Gonzaga as Gemma and leaves Vice, who’s so brokenhearted he plots his revenge. He pretends to be a real man and courts Toni to make her fall in love with him. And that’s where all the laughs come in.
