MONA LOUISE Rey was last seen in “Luna Blanca” with Jillian Ward. Now, she stars in a new primetime soap, “Aso ni San Roque”, while Jillian is nowhere to be seen. Does this mean she’s now more “sikat” or famous than Jillian?
“Hindi naman po,” she says. “Sabi ng GMA, meron ding bagong show para sa kanya. Suwerte lang po ko nasama ko rito sa ‘Aso ni San Roque.’ Pantay-pantay lang po kami sa GMA.”
She plays the blind girl Fatima, daughter of LJ Reyes, an aswang, and TJ Trinidad, a mortal who’s a policeman. She’s taken by aswangs away from her mom and is raised by a gay old man, Pen Medina (taking over from the role originally meant for Eddie Garcia). “Aso ni San Roque” starts airing Monday replacing “Makapiling Kang Muli” that ends tonight.
