'Mr. Pogi' Winners Better Looking Than The Boy Contestants In 'Protege'

GMA-7 SHOULD get the “Eat Bulaga” talent scouts who chose the finalists in the recently concluded “Mr. Pogi” contest. Many believe na “sa totoo lang, mas guwapo ang contestants sa Mr. Pogi kaysa nasa ‘Protege’.”

The big winner is John Edric Ulang, with two 1st runners up Bryan Jaofrancia (also best in talent) and Jaylord Casino, Chryst Josef Almazar as 2nd runner up and John Paul Duray as 3rd runner up. Texter’s Choice was Franz Akeem Aldover. Given the right breaks and buildup, we have no doubt these young men can hit it big in showbiz.

The judges were Aga Muhlach, Regine Velasquez, Marian Rivera, Raymond Gutierrez, Alfie Lorenzo and Jericho Rosales who won as Mr. Pogi in 1996 and is the most successful discovery of this contest.
