'Shake, Rattle & Roll 14' Will Be The Biggest Budgeted 'Shake' Movie Ever

MOTHER LILY is giving Director Chito Rono 15 shooting days each for the three episodes he’ll direct in “Shake, Rattle & Roll 14”. All the past “Shake Rattle” movies were trilogies helmed by three separate directors. This time, Mother Lily wants all episodes to be directed by Chito, whose last horror flick, “The Healing” starring Gov. Vilma Santos, is a hit earning P120 million and could have made more money if not for the “habagat” rains and floods.

The first episode to be shot is “Ang Pamana”, reuniting Janice de Belen and Herbert Bautista (the stars of the very first “Shake Rattle” movie in 1982 in the “Pridyider” and “Manananggal” episodes). The episode is written by Ricky Lee and the cast includes Dennis Padilla, Ivan Dorschner, Fabio Ide, Eri Neeman, Gerald Pesigan and Arlene Muhlach. Since the two other episodes will shot for also 15 days each, then the total number of shooting days will be 45 days. We wonder how much the total budget will be. This will be the most expensive “Shake Rattle” movie ever in the history of the entire franchise.
