Aljur Abrenica Torn Between Kylie Padilla And Kris Bernal

THE COMEBACK vehicle of the Aljur Abrenica-Kris Bernal love team, the local version of the Koreanovela “Coffee Prince”, will replace on Monday “One True Love” that will end tonight. “One True Love” is a toprater that hit the number one spot in the ratings. Does Aljur think they can duplicate or even surpass its success?

“It’ll definitely be a big challenge for us,” says Aljur. “Pero kung malakas man ang susundan naming show, I believe may laban naman kami kasi our fans tell us matagal na nilang na-miss ang aming love team and they’ll surely support ang latest project namin. Also, pre-sold na ang ‘Coffee Prince’ kasi may built in followers na ito who followed it when it starred Korean stars. They’re curious kung anong gagawin namin ni Kris dito.”

What does he think of Kris as a man? “Ang guwapo pala niyang lalaki. Kasama namin dito as barkada sina Boy2 Quizon, Sef Cadayona, Fabio Ide and Steven Silva. Lahat sila, one of the boys ang treatment sa kanya. Tricycle driver siya rito at ako naman, nagpanggap na bakla para tigilan ako ng lola kong si Celia Rodriguez na pinipilit akong mag-asawa. Akala ko, lalaki talaga si Kris so I convinced her na magpanggap na gay lover ko.”

How’s he and Kylie Padilla? “We’re still shooting ‘Kuratong Baleleng’ with her dad. Puro Padilla ang kasama ko roon.” How does he feel about it? “Okay naman. It’s an honor to work with them. Di naman ako naiilang kasi mababait sila lahat sa’kin. I’m also in ‘Sosy Problems’ na filmfest entry.”

Did Kylie feel sad when “Haram” was cancelled? “Yes, at ako rin, nalungkot for her. Pero papalitan naman daw ng ibang show. But let’s just focus on ‘Coffee Prince’ dahil itong palalabas na on Monday.”
