Georgina Wilson Has The Support Of Bf Borgy Manotoc In Going Sexy In Gsm Calendar

GEORGINA WILSON is the daughter of Gloria Diaz’ sister, Aurora, and a British national. She was born on February 12, 1986 in the U.S. Her family moved to Manila when she was 10 and she studied at Assumption and Ateneo, but finished college at the University of Sydney majoring in finance and accounting. When she returned to Manila, she was linked to Richard Gutierrez and became a model and VJ for Channel V. She also hosted “The Source” on Star World and was a host judge in “The Philippines Next Top Model” Cycle 2. She was invited by Tyra Banks as a guest stylist in “America’s Top Model” Cycle 17. She’s also a judge and host in “Showtime”.

She was formally launched as San Miguel’s 2013 Calendar Girl at Imperial Palace last Friday. Didn’t she and her manager Shirley Kuan have second thoughts about her posing sexy for the calendar?

“San Miguel is a very prestigious company that’s been on for 175 years,” she says. “It’s a milestone for my career to be asked to be their model, considering the roster of former models like my friends Anne Curtis and Solenn Heussaff. There was no hesitation at all. Yes agad.”

How much was her talent fee? “You do things for the love of it and not just for the money. This is career-changing for me. They just gave me my biggest showbiz presscon ever. Hopefully, with this, more people will get to know me. I was very hands on with the pictorial. They say I’m their first model who even attended the pre-production meetings. The theme is water sports like snorkelling and surfing. I chose the bikinis I’d wear. We shot on a beach in Ilocos Norte.”

Her boyfriend Borgy Manotoc is from there. What’s his reaction to her sexy photos? “He’s happy we shot in his home province. He’s very supportive. He knows this is a good career move for me.”

It’s said his mom, Gov. Imee Marcos, approves of her so much? “She’s so much fun to be with. She supported our pictorial as it shows the beautiful beaches in their province.”

Does she really drink San Miguel products? “Yes, I love their GSM Dalandan flavor and Emperador Light.”

Why did San Miguel get her as their new model? “We had a survey among our consumers and they chose her,” says Ginebra San Miguel boss Nelson Elices. “Although her dad is British, she considers herself a true Filipina. Bagay na bagay siya sa calendars namin that highlight our products from Ginebra San Miguel and its various flavours, to Gran Matador, Antonov Vodka and Mixx Coctails Mixers.”
