Gwen Zamora Is An Aswang With A Golden Heart In 'Aso Ni San Roque'

GWEN ZAMORA is enjoying her role as the mermaid aswang, Anaira, in “Aso ni San Roque”. Some people think she’s in the nude when she appears in the show but she says she’s wearing a flesh-colored body suit along with her tail that gives the appearance that she’s naked.

“Hindi naman puedeng maghubad ako roon dahil pambata ang show,” she says. “Di na-censor kami if I’d wear something not fit for TV viewing.”

In the story, their Supremo (Eddie Garcia) gives an order to all the aswangs (Gardo Versoza, Paolo Contis, Angelika de la Cruz and her) to kill all children named Fatima as this girl is predicted to be the savior of humankind who’ll kill all existing aswangs.

“Pero ako, I refuse to cooperate with them as I don’t believe in the prophecy,” she says. “Someone tells Eddie Garcia that one of us will be betraying our ranks and it will turn out to be me. When Mona Louise Rey as Fatima falls into a river, I get to save her and I adopt and protect her as my own child.”

Meantime, all the aswangs as well as TJ Trinidad as Mateo and LJ Reyes as Lualhati, the real life but estranged parents of Fatima, continue to look for her, along with her guardian, Mother Ben (Pen Medina) after she gets beaten up by Mateo’s girlfriend, Bernice (Rich Asuncion).
