Michael majored in broadcasting and journalism at Centro Escolar U in 1993 and tried the corporate world first as sales executive at Islacom. “But I didn’t find it fulfilling, gusto ko talaga journalism,” he says. “I also tried being a proofreader for Daily Globe then I became a reporter for RPN 9, a segment producer for IBC 13, before nakuha kong segment producer sa ‘Emergency’ ni Arnold Clavio on GMA-7. After a year, nakuha kong on-cam reporters sa ‘Brigada Siete’ with Jessica Soho. Now, field correspondent ako in ‘Kape at Balita’ that starts airing on October 22, 6 to 7:30 AM. I interview people sa kalye, in their homes, sa mga tambayan and ask their opinion about the hottest issues of the day.”
Michael got married in 1995 and the marriage lasted up to 1999 only, but it produced three kids. His eldest, Rayana, is taking up pre-med at UPLB, next is Micaela who’s a high school senior, youngest is Juan Miguel who’s a high school freshman. They all live in Laguna.
