    Lani Mercado On The Reported Romance Of Her Son Jolo Revilla With Jodi Sta. Maria

    BACOOR REP. LANI Mercado won’t be accepting any soap after “Luna Blanca” as she’s running for reelection. “Rest muna ako,” she says. “Next year na uli.”

    Her son Jolo is also running as vice governor of Cavite so he didn’t accept the offer to be part of a new soap on GMA-7. As for Jolo’s reported romance with Jodi Sta. Maria, Lani chooses to keep quiet. “Sila na lang ang tanungin nyo,” she says.

    In “Luna Blanca”, now on its last two weeks, she plays Rowena (earlier played by Camille Prats) the mother of Heart Evangelista and Bianca King who’s now reunited with her husband Luis (Raymart Santiago then, Christopher de Leon now.) This week, they get shocked when Bianca as Luna announces her engagement to Mark Herras as Joaquin. Mark agreed to marry Luna only because he is under the spell of a love potion, but his real love remains to be Heart as Blanca.
