LJ REYES feels so happy to be part of a blockbuster movie like “Tiktik: Aswang Chronicles” that raked in P70 million in only 5 days. What’s more, those who’ve seen it are praising her performance as the scary chop-chop “manananggal aswang”. This is her second movie this year where she got rave notices. The other one is for her role as the lowly prostie who caters to fishermen in “Intoy Syokoy”. She also gets positive feedback for her role as the reluctant “aswang” mom of Mona Louise Rey in “Aso ni San Roque”.
“I’m really thankful na nagugustuhan nila ang performance ko,” she says. “Very encouraging. Abangan nyo pala sa ‘Aso ni San Roque’ ang nalalapit naming pagkikita ng anak kong si Fatima na matagal na nawalay sa akin.”
How about the dad of her son, Paulo Avelino, what does he say about her performance in “Tiktik”? “Hindi pa niya napapanood, e. Wala siyang time dahil busy sa tapings and promoting his album.”
Does she watch Paulo in “Walang Hanggan”? “Yes, natapos na sila.” Does Paulo watch her in “Aso ni San Roque”? “Siguro. Pag may time.”
The latest story about Paulo is he got swellheaded because of his success at ABS. “May ganun? Honestly, parang hindi naman. Hindi ko napi-feel na nagbago siya at all. Better yet, you ask him kung lumaki nga ulo niya.”
