“This is a pioneering effort in the local film industry and I feel proud to be a part of it,” she says. “Mahirap din itong gawin kasi umaarte ka ng hindi mo nakikita ang nasa paligid mo. Dine-describe lang sa amin ni Direk Erik Matti. But when I saw the effects on screen, mapapa-wow ka talaga, sobrang impressive and really scary. We shot the whole movie in a big warehouse in Taguig. Anak ako rito nina Janice de Belen and Joey Marquez. Nabuntis ako ni Dingdong Dantes who followed me sa province namin. He didn’t know he antagonized some aswangs dahil sa kayabangan niya, so they surround our house wanting to attack us. At least, iba ito sa dating horror films na ginawa na ako ang aswang o multo. This time, akong inaaswang dahil sa baby sa tiyan ko.”
Lovi is also proud to have been part of the “Thy Womb” delegation at the Venice Filmfest. Her photo in her stunning body fit gown was featured in an Austrian newspaper’s fashion page alongside with those of Hollywood actresses Selena Gomez, Kate Hudson and Vanessa Hudgens. In the movie, she plays the young girl chosen by Nora Aunor to be a babymaker for her and her husband, Bembol Roco.
Her sister, Grace Poe-Llamanzares, is running for the senate in 2013. “I’m willing to help her in the campaign. I believe in her. She’s not only smart but I know she has a good heart and the willingness to help our fellowmen.”
Someone saw her in a gathering with Ronald Singson and concluded that they’ve reconciled. “We’re still friends naman, pero walang balikang nagaganap. I’m just too busy with work. I’m now shooting ‘The Bride and the Lover’ and I’m also taping for my new soap, ‘Yesterday’s Bride’, with Rocco Nacino.”
