Mikoy Morales Of 'Protege' Thinks Jeric Gonzales Is His Toughest Rival

MIKOY MORALES is the protégé from Roxas City who’s the opposite of Jeric Gonzales. Jeric looks good in person but the TV screen doesn’t do him justice. In contrast, Mikoy looks ordinary in person but he is transformed and looks so much better on screen. Born on Dec. 11, 1993, his full name is Vincent Marco Morales and actually grew up in Manila. The eldest of two boys, he finished high school at La Salle Greenhills and is now taking up architecture at UST. What does he think is his edge over Jeric and Ruru?

“My discipline,” he says. “I’m very strict with myself at gusto kong pinahihirapan ang sarili ko to excel in all that I do.”

And who’s his chief rival between Jeric and Ruru in the finals night this coming Sunday? “I think it’s Jeric, kasi he’s also very disciplined like me.”

Among the girls, he wants to be paired with Thea with whom he jives well. He plays various musical instruments and prefers singing ballads, but the “Protege” staff told him to do more pop songs. He also has experience in theatre acting as he has acted in plays in UST, even doing the role of Chris in “Miss Saigon”.
