‘X FACTOR PHILIPPINES’ will hold its finals this weekend. Last week, Allen Sta. Maria, the youngest contestant, was eliminated and her mentor Charice cried buckets of tears after she and her other ward, KZ Tandingan became the bottom 2. But it was Allen of Bulacan who was chosen to go home by co-judges Pilita Corrales, Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano. Allen sang “Perfect” that night and it turned out the night was not at all perfect for her.
Competing with their final performances this Saturday are Gabriel Maturan, the group Daddy’s Home and KZ. The winner will be proclaimed on Sunday.
Personally, we want KZ to win as she has a good chance of hitting it big in showbiz. Gabriel may sing well but if he’d win, he won’t have staying power and be like Jovit Baldivino and Marcelito Pomoy. Daddy’s Home might be an exceptional group but if they’d win, they’d be like Maasinhon Trio who quickly faded back to oblivion. It’s KZ who clearly has the X-Factor and, given the right network push and exposure, she’ll surely have more staying power in the business.
