Being An Artista Like Being Caught Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea

IT’S REALLY tough to be an “artista”. The press will always find something negative about you. When John Lloyd Cruz and Angelica Panganiban were quiet about their relationship, some writers chided them for being so secretive. Now that they’ve both admitted it, some writers say they’re so noisy and using it to promote their shows, “A Beautiful Affair” for JL and “Banana Split” for Angelica where JL is the special guest in their 4th anniversary presentation.

When Paolo Contis and Lian Paz kept mum about their split up, some writers chided them for not talking about what happened to them. Now that they’ve opened up and talked about it, still some writers say they should just keep quiet and not display their dirty linen in public.

No wonder we heard one celebrity asking: “Ano ba talaga ang gusto ng press sa amin: magsalita o manahimik?”
