Boots Anson Roa Replaces Gloria Romero In 'Aso Ni San Roque'

IT TURNS OUT that Gloria Romeo had to beg off from “Aso ni San Roque” as Constancia, the wife of Eddie Garcia. She’s still in “Cielo del Angelina” as the nun, Sister Margaret, who takes care of title-roler Bea Binene. She felt she can’t afford to be taping for two shows simultaneously as it would be too tiring for her age. As such, she was replaced by Boots Anson Roa. “But this week, my character in “Cielo del Angelina” is scheduled to be killed,” she says. “Sayang nga at hindi na nila ako nahintay sa ‘Aso ni San Roque’.”

The show becomes more absorbing with the aswang Bulan (Angelika de la Cruz) being revived to help the other aswangs led by Kanlaon (Gardo Versoza) and Sendo (Paolo Contis) in wreaking havoc on mankind. The cops fight back with silver bullets but this has no effect on Supremo (Eddie Garcia). Meantime, Mateo (TJ Trinidad) tries his best to woo back Lualhati (LJ Reyes) and decides to split from his reporter girlfriend, the abusive Bernice (Rich Asuncion.) He learns that their daughter Fatima (Mona Louise Rey) is now with Constancia (Boots Anson Roa.) But the aswangs manage to get hold of Fatima. It’s Anaira (Gwen Zamora) who rescues her.
