“Bakit ako?” says Lovi at the pocket presscon of “Yesterdays’ Bride”. “Wala akong kinalaman diyan.”
Sheena reportedly got jealous because she and Rocco have become so close while doing their hit afternoon soap. “Ay, tsismis lang yan. Kasi right now, most of my scenes are with Luis Alandy dahil nagkalayo kami ni Rocco sa story. We don’t even know yet when our characters will be reunited. We’re now on our 4th week at paganda ng paganda ang kuwento. Tuwing ibibigay sa’kin ang bagong script, I get excited what will happen next.”
She and Heart Evangelista are the best of friends because of “Legacy”. Did she give tips to Heart on how to handle politicians since she is the pioneer in having a congressman BF before (Ronald Singson) while Heart now is with Sen. Chiz? She laughs hard before answering. “Pioneer talaga, ha. Yes, I gave her some tips, pero kung anuman yun, sa amin na lang.”
There’s a rumor that she’s leaving GMA-7 to move to ABS-CBN after her contract as a Kapuso expires in March. “Not true. I’m happy with GMA. I enjoyed doing ‘Legacy’ and now, I really love ‘Yesterday’s Bride’.”
2012 is a good year for her. She won acting awards for last year’s “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”. The two movies she did, “Guniguni” and “Tiktik” are both hits. She now has two entries in the coming Metro filmfest: “Thy Womb” with Nora Aunor that sent her to the Venice Filmfest and the “Unwanted” episode in “Shake, Rattle & Roll 14”. She’s also shooting another movie, “The Bride and the Lover”, for Regal with Jennylyn Mercado. What are her plans for 2013? “None. I just go with the flow. Everything is going very well so sana, magtuloy-tuloy lang ang lahat ng ito.”
