Ricky Reyes And Cynthia Villar Join Forces To Help Sick Kids Living In Child Haus

MOTHER RICKY REYES has finally found a permanent for Child Haus, a home for cancer-stricken kids coming from far provinces seeking treatment in Manila but don’t have a place where they can stay in the city. The new home is in 90 Mapang-akit St. near V. Luna Road, QC. It used to be the home of singer Nonong Pedero. SM mogul Henry Sy bought it for Child Haus.

He invited us to have breakfast with the kids and our hearts really went out to these very young patients afflicted with sarcoma, leukemia and tumors of various kinds. They’re so young to be suffering. There were 35 kids currently in Child Haus, along with their parents.

It’s good some kind souls help support them, like former Rep. Cynthia Villar who gave them early Christmas gifts of food, clothes and toys. She also volunteered to pay for the monthly wages of a regular teacher to be hired by Child Haus. “I’m blessed with a wonderful husband, Sen. Manny Villar and, three loving children so I want to share my blessings with these less fortunate kids,” she says. “I’m a mother and I totally sympathize with the parents of these patients who are helping their sick kids struggle to survive.”
