Chynna Ortaleza On Why She Remains Loyal As A Kapuso Star

CHYNNA ORTALEZA, who just celebrated her birthday on Dec. 7, remains loyal to GMA-7 despite offers from other networks. “Hindi naman ako nawawalan ng work as a Kapuso,” she says. “This year lang, nakasama ko sa four soaps, from ‘Pahiram ng Isang Ina’ and ‘Legacy’ to ‘Luna Blanca’ and ‘Sana ay Ikaw na Nga’. After ‘Sana’, isasama naman daw ako doon sa ‘Mrs. Snow White’ with Carla Abellana, so at least di ako nababakante.”

She has also finished two new films, “Migrante” and “Menor de Edad”. “I play a nurse na tumulong kay Jodi Sta. Maria in ‘Migrante’ after she was raped by her boss. It was shot in Israel. ‘Menor de Edad’ is the launching film naman of Meg Imperial, to be released by Viva. I play a journalist who investigates gang wars among women and ako yung tumatayong narrator ng movie. Kasama namin dito sina Wendell Ramos, Jaycee Parker and Ara Mina. I’m also shooting ‘Basement’, a horror flick for Direk Topel Lee sa GMA Films. I play the mom of child star Mona Louise Rey.”

How’s her relationship with long time BF Railey Valeroso? “Still going strong. He’s about to finish college pero gusto niyang tumuloy sa aviation school para mag-pilot kaya malayo pa bago kami ikasal.”
