Heart Evangelista & Solenn Heussaff Fighting Over Aljur Abrenica

ALJUR ABRENICA is the only young actor who hosted solo a thanksgiving dinner for the press this holiday season. He raffled off several appliances like a 32-inch flat TV, microwave ovens, washing machines, grocery baskets and cash. “It’s been a good year for me,” he says. “Maraming blessings na dapat ipagpasalamat. Noon ko pa gusto gawin ito for the press, kaya lang wala pa kong budget. Ngayon, meron na. Hopefully, next year, maulit.”

He’s thankful to have so many endorsements this year: Century Tuna, San Mig Light, Head n Shoulders, Talk n Text, Bench and Tupperware. He did several movies: “Kontrabida Girl”, the Metro filmfest entry “Sosy Problems”, and the forthcoming “Basement” and “Kuratong Baleleng”. He also guested in “D’Kilabots”. On TV, he starred in the “Coffee Prince” which rated well in its original 7-week run. He was made to join eight GMA Pinoy TV tours all over the U.S.A. He has also finished cutting a new album to be released in January by GMA Records.

How come there’s a rumor he’s moving to ABS? “I don’t know kunsaan yan galing but it’s not true. I’m happy with GMA, there’s no reason for me para lumipat.”

It’s also said he’d run in the next election. “Noon, pinatatakbo ko sa Pampanga. But it’s not true. Wala akong alam sa politika.”

It’s said he lives with his dad while his brother Vin lives with their mom. Have his parents split for good? “No, maayos na nga sila ngayon, magkasama na uli. Pakiusap lang, Christmas naman, wag na po natin silang intrigahin. Kasi kawawa yung mga nakababata kong kapatid na 16 at 13. Pati sa school, tinatanong sila tungkol dito, e hindi naman totoo.”

What’s his role in “Sosy Problems”? “I play Benjo, anak ni Robert Arevalo. Handyman ako at lifeguard sa isang condo. Parehong nagkagusto sa’kin sina Heart Evangelista at Solenn Heussaff but in denial sila noong una kasi mahirap lang ako, e ang yayaman nila.”

So who gets him in the end? “Secret. You have to watch the movie to find out kung anong nangyari. Basta enjoy akong gawin ang movie na ito kasi kasundo ko ang lahat sa cast, pati sina Bianca King and Rhian Ramos, Mikael Daez and Benjamin Alves, and director Andoy Ranay na puro nakatrabaho ko na before. Lahat kami, sasama sa float ng GMA for the parade of stars.”

Will he be with GF Kylie Padilla on Christmas Day? “Siguro before Christmas. Kasi busy nga ako sa promo ng ‘Sosy Problems’. Day before Christmas, uuwi ako sa’min sa Pampanga to do charity work sa disabled children na tinutulungan ng family namin, then on Christmas Day, punta naman kami sa resort namin sa Batangas City.”

What’s his gift to Kylie? “It’s a surprise, so hindi ko puedeng sabihin. Basta pinabili ko pa ito sa abroad.”
