LOVI POE is now tagged as the Horror Pincess but she says “Shake, Rattle & Roll 14” will be her last horror film for a long long time. She won’t say what the exact reason for this decision is, but we heard she felt doing horror flicks one after the other (“Aswang”, “Guniguni”, “Tiktik” and “Shake 14”) is draining her energy and she’s getting sickly. Recently, she threw up in “Party Pilipinas” and wasn’t able to perform her production number with Rocco Nacino to promote their hit afternoon soap, “Yesterday’s Bride”. She was taken to the doctor and also didn’t show up anymore at her scheduled guesting for “Hot TV”. She said shooting horror flicks has given her sleepless nights punctuated by scary nightmares.
“Ilang beses na kong nagising dahil sa bad dreams then I have difficulty going back to sleep,” she says.
“Lalo na ng gawin ko itong ‘Unwanted’ episode in ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll 14’ where Vhong Navarro and I get trapped inside a mall pagkatapos ng isang loud explosion. Yun pala, aliens have invaded us at bigla na lang kaming hinahabol para patayin. Direk Chito Rono has created some truly scary looking aliens kaya natatakot ako tuwing mapapanaginipan ko. So after this, rest muna ko from horror films. Buti na lang at my next movie is romantic comedy-drama about weddings and best friends, ‘The Bride and the Lover’, with Jennylyn Mercado and Paulo Avelino.”
