Showbiz Love Affairs

IT’S THE LAST DAY of the passing year and it’s once again the time for us to look back at what happened during 2012, which will be best remembered as the first time a Supreme Court Justice was impeached and convicted.

As usual, the most interesting pastime of the public is following the ups and downs in the love life of our celebrities. The year started with Marco Alcaraz and Lara Quigaman announcing that they’ll have an October wedding, but this was advanced to July 8 as it turned that our the former Miss International was already infanticipating.

Shalani Soledad and Cong. Roman Romulo were officially wed on January 22. SexBomb’s Izzy Tirazona also tied the knot with Starstruck discovery Alvin Aragon.

Former Universal Motion dancer and matinee idol Wowie de Guzman faced the altar with a non-showbiz girl named Sally Ann Reyes. Character actress Melissa Mendez married businessman Eric Gobencion.

But the sweetest nuptials was the surprise wedding of Carmina Villaroel to long time companion Zoren Legaspi who planned the whole thing with the help of ABS-CBN, where their full wedding ceremony and reception were telecast later on.

TV host Grace Lee was linked to Pres. Noynoy Aquino but it fizzled out. What she got was a word war with DJ Angelicopter.

Angelica Panganiban and John Lloyd Cruz finally admitted that they are on. She just broke up with Derek Ramsay and he dumped Shaina Magdayao. But Angelica seems to have difficulty moving on as she continue to make some Twits against Derek.

John Prats and former Bb. Pilipinas Bianca Manalo admitted they were on at the start of the year but broke up only a few months later.

After breaking up with Mickey Ablan, Iwa Moto hooked up with Leandro Munoz but this didn’t last long and Iwa is now on with Pampi Lacson, the ex of Jodi Sta. Maria who is, in turn, now playing beautiful music with Jolo Revilla. Mickey, in turn, hooked up with comedienne Janna Dominguez and they now have a baby girl. Iwa finally admitted that she officially got married to Mickey.

Maxene Magalona and ice cream magnate Neil Arce broke up. Neil is now canoodling with Bela Padilla while Maxene is real cozy with Renz Fernandez, youngest son of Lorna Tolentino and the late Rudy Fernandez.

Dina Bonnevie got married for the third time after Vic Sotto and Dick Penson. The groom is Ilocos Sur Vice Governor DG Savellano who’s also separated from his first wife.

Miss Universe 4th runnerup Venus Raj goes steady with “Umagang Kay Ganda” co-host Andrei Felix.

Heart Evangelista broke up with Daniel Matsunaga and, a few months later, goes steady with Sen. Chiz Escudero, whose marriage to his first wife, stage actress Christine Flores, has been annulled. Daniel is now said to be the latest crush of Kris Aquino. Daniel has appeared in her show “Kris TV” and her movie, “Sisterakas”.

Pinoy Big Brother winner Bea Saw married her long time boyfriend Rocky Tan in January and has just given birth to their first child.

After her traumatic relationship with DJ Mo, Rhian Ramos quickly found new romance in KC Montero, who’s now separated from wife Geneva Cruz.

Also much talked about is the May-December romance between Pauleen Luna (who had a nose job this year) and “Eat Bulaga” co-host Vic Sotto. They used to be silent about it but lately, Vic now practically admits that they are on but they want to keep it quiet.
