TV5 HAS reason to be proud as their cooking show, “Chef vs. Mom” is the only Filipino show that won an award in this year’s Asian TV Awards as Best Lifestyle Program, beating six other shows from Singapore, India and Malaysia. The Asian TV Awards also shortlisted TV5’s top-rating variety show “Talentadong Pinoy” for Best General Entertainment Program and news channel Aksyon TV’s “Bilang Tao” for Best Single News Story/Report.
NEWS5 anchor Cheryl Cosim accepted the award at the glitzy awarding ceremony held in Singapore last Thursday (December 6) in behalf of TV5. The lady anchor of Aksyon also represented her program Bilang Tao. TV5 Creative and Entertainment head Perci Intalan represented Talentadong Pinoy. Airing every Sunday at 5:30am, Chef vs Mom is a comedy-cooking show with real-life mother and son, Mommy Lalie and Chef Jeremy Favia. The show also airs every Saturday, 5:30pm, on Aksyon TV.
