Anne Curtis Intimidated By Robin Padilla In 'Kailangan Ko'Y Ikaw'

ANNE CURTIS says she has a lot to be thankful for in 2012. “I had a hit concert at Araneta, a hit movie in ‘A Secret Affair’, so many endorsements, awards, I even did a movie in Hollywood, ‘Blood Ransom’, to be shown this year,” she says. “It’s really a fantabulous year and I now claim that 2013 will be similarly amazing for positive vibes.”

Deo Endrinal’s Dreamscape produces Anne’s new teleserye, “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw”, hosting a solo presscon for her at Lemuria. She’s Ruth, sister of Kris Aquino. They fight over Robin Padilla.

“I love my role as a wild child. Ate Kris is the favorite daughter of our dad, Tirso Cruz III, who thinks she’s perfect, so nagrebelde ako. Ako yung black sheep, super KSP, gusto kong maging model but ayaw nila. I kidnap myself at pinatutubos kong sarili ko sa dad namin ng P30 million, pero nabuko ng isang pulis, si Robin nga. But there will be a twist in my character 13 years later when I become a mom to the kids left to me by Ate Kris. This is my most mature role so far kasi may mga magiging anak ako.”

How’s it working with Kris and Robin? “Intimidating. With Ate Kris, we’ve worked na in ‘Hiram’, my first show with ABS after I left GMA. Since then, Ate ko na siya. But sa scene where I’ll slap her, sobrang kaba ko. I had to ask her permission and she said, Sige, go. As for Robin, I first worked with him at 15. Sister ako ni Maricel Soriano in ‘Tulak ng Bibig’. Nagkasama rin kami sa ‘Alab ng Lahi’, but my scenes were with Jackie Woo. I’m so thankful to him kasi he’s the one who made the first move to make me comfortable. He said, ‘Tulungan mo rin naman ako’. I really appreciate na siyang lumapit sa’kin to talk to me.”

Will they have a love scene? “Meron daw pero di pa nakukunan. I’m so nervous, lalo na nga pawisin ako, laputsina. But I’m so excited to see how our chemistry will be. Siya lang ang lalaking-lalaki sa industriya natin ngayon, e. The others are metrosexuals. Siya yung brusko, but a real gentleman who treats women with chivalry. Wala pang puedeng mag-fill in sa shoes niya. I’m also happy that I’m reunited here with Direk Joyce Bernal. The last time we worked was in ‘Ang Iibigin ay Ikaw’ sa GMA pa about eight years ago.”

What’s her next movie? “I’m working with Direk Chris Martinez in ‘The Gifted’, a comedy. I really like to work with him and when I read his script, tawa na ko ng tawa.”

She’ll be appearing with Sam Milby and another big actress that Viva is borrowing from Star Cinema. “Hindi pa puede i-announce kung sino.”

She was in a rush during their interview as she’s meeting her BF Erwan Heussaff who’s celebrating his 26th birthday. Anne is 28 so she’s two years older than him. Is he THE one? “Hopefully. Gusto ko talaga, siya na. We’re on our third year now. Siya yung consistent among my boyfriends na wala pa kaming break. Kasi yung iba, off and on.”

So she’s ready to face the altar? “There will be a right time for that. Marami pa kaming gustong gawin. Sayang naman ang opportunities.”
