She plays Adora, the daughter of a rich landowner in the 50s who falls in love with a poor farmer, Geoff Eigenmann. Her dad, Ronnie Henares, forces her to marry Marc Abaya, who kills Geoff, who in turns promises to Adora they’ll meet again in the future. Adora becomes Gloria Romero in the present time, still waiting for Geoff, who is reincarnated in a young painter.
“With the help of a magic orasan, babata uli ako and our love affair ni Geoff will finally be fulfilled. I’m really glad sa’kin napunta itong ‘Forever’ kasi ang ganda ng story.”
How about she and Sen. Chiz Escudero? Is it also forever for them? “I’m hoping, sana. Ayoko na rin naman ng paiba-iba. In all fairness to him, sa lahat ng naging boyfriends ko, I get along fine with him the most.”
What’s his most endearing qualities for her? “Nagkakasundo kami talaga. Our conversations are so good, lasting up to 2 AM with us just talking. He’s too smart. I learn so much from him about life. And I can really be myself to him. Hindi ko na kailangang magpa-cute like before as he accepts me for what I am.”
What can she say now that her ex, Daniel Matsunaga, is being linked to Kris Aquino who, like her, was born on Valentine’s Day? “I’m happy for Daniel. Kung saan siya masaya, go.”
