    Honors Abroad

    Those who brought honors winning awards abroad include Eugene Domingo who won the People’s Choice award in the Hongkong Asian Festival and the best actress award at the Pau International Filmfest in France for “Babae sa Septic Tank”. Eddie Garcia won best actor in the 55th Asia Pacific Festival in Macau for “Bwakaw”. Nora Aunor won best actress at the Golden Eel Award in Venice and at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in Brisbane.

    The Cinemalaya Director’s Showcase best picture winner, “Posas”, also won as best picture in the Hanoi Filmfest. Another Cinemalaya entry, “Sta. Nina” starring Coco Martin, won the Golden Crow Award at the Kerala International Filmfest in India.
