Now, after being the FHM cover girl last December, she’ll be the first sexy star of the new year launched to stardom in “Menor de Edad” that’s showing on January 23, a perfect birthday gift for her since she’s turning 19 on January 20. What made her decide to go sexy?
“The project is good,” she says. “I read the story, maganda, and launching film ko pa. The director is Joel Lamangan and I trust him kasi he directed me na in ‘Valiente’ and ‘Enchanted Garden’. I first consulted my family and my mom said, ‘Kaya mo ba? Mapapanindigan mo ba yan?’ I said yes, I feel I’m ready to leave the usual tweetum roles and go out of my comfort zone.”
How far did she go? “I definitely showed some skin, but no frontal. I have a love scene with Wendell Ramos who plays my high school teacher and we had an affair. Okay naman kasi we’ve worked na before on TV so comfortable naman ako sa kanya. Siyang may butt exposure dito.”
What’s the story about? “I play a 15-year old girl na naligaw ng landas. My mom, Ara Mina, has a lover, babae rin, si JC Parker. Napabayaan niya ako at nagkagusto ko kay Wendell even if he’s married na to Almira Muhlach.”
So how’s it working with Ara? “Very supportive siya. She gives me advice kasi na-launched din siya as a sexy star before. But the career I want to follow is yung sa sister niya, si Cristine Reyes, who’s also managed by Viva like me.”
