Ogie-Regine Say It'S An Honor To Do Valentine Concert With Martin-Pops For The First Time

OGIE ALCASID says working with Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez in “Foursome”, their Valentine concert with his wife Regine Velasquez, is a big honor. “Reg and I are really excited to work with them as they’re good friends and great performers,” he says. “It’s our first time to do a show all together. We’ve been talking about this for a long long time and we’re glad it’s finally happening.”

“Both Martin and Pops, idol ko talaga,” adds Reg. “They helped me in my career when I guested in their ‘Penthouse Live’. Pops recommended me and Martin was good enough to do a duet with me. I’ve worked with them separately but ngayon lang yung kaming apat, so todo na ito. Thanks to our producer, Ana Puno. Dream niya noon pa to have the four of us together. Don’t miss it kasi marami kaming numbers together, mostly love songs.”

So who gets the biggest talent fee among them? “Di ako,” says Regine. “Kasi yung talent fee ni Ogie, iintrega niya sa’kin. Tapos sina Martin at Pops, ninong at ninang ni Nate, so may share din ako sa kanila. So ako talaga ang pinakamalaki ang kikitain sa lahat.”

“Foursome” will be staged at the SM Arena on Valentine’s Day at 8 PM. Ana Puno says she hopes to take it on tour in the U.S. and Europe later on.
