Singer Rico Blanco Gets Big Break As Leading Man Of Vina Morales & Carmina Villaroel

SINGER RICO BLANCO gets the biggest acting break in his career as the lone leading man torn between Vina Morales and Carmina Villaroel in ABS-CBN’s new musical soap, “May Isang Pangarap”. And he’s so lucky as he’s also in TV5’s “Kanta Pilipinas” with Marvin Agustin. In the story, he’s originally the husband of Vina, who went to Japan to pursue her ambition to be a singer. He didn’t like this so he left with their daughter in tow. He then meets Carmina, who takes care of his daughter. When Vina returns, she can no longer find her family and adopts another girl.

“It’s an honor for me to be working with both Vina and Carmina and I’d like to thank them and our directors, Erick Salud and Jerry Sineneng, for being so kind to a newcomer in acting like me,” says Rico. “I’m also happy to be part of a show that launches the careers of two new child stars who are are both great singers, Larah Claire Sabroso and Julia Clarisse Base. Larah plays the real child of Vina. She’s 9 and the 5th in a brood of seven from Compostela Valley. Julia is 8, the second of two sisters from Manila, but her mom is pregnant anew.
