Arci Munoz On Why She Backed Out From Joining Miss World Philippines

ARCI MUNOZ is glad to be chosen as the leading lady of Ronnie Ricketts in Viva-Rocketts co-production, “The Fighting Chefs”. “He’s also the film’s writer and director,” she says. “He’s very strict. We always start on time kaya pag na-late ka, nakakahiya. This is my very first movie and I’m grateful it’s with him kasi I learned a lot about discipline on the movie set. He was hesitant at first to make me do action scenes. Akala niya mahinhin ako. He let me try it first and when he saw na kaya ko, dinagdagan pa ang stuntmen na nakakalaban ko. Nasisira ang props sa lakas ng mga hampas ko. After the teleseryes I did for TV5 na puro iyakan, I really had fun doing an action-comedy like ‘The Fighting Chefs’. I also enjoyed the company of everyone in the cast, including Chef Boy Logro, Vandolph, Joross Gamboa, Hero Angeles, Aki Torio, Jeffrey Santos, Nadine Lustre, Jade Lopez and Direk’s eldest daughter, Marella, who’s being introduced here.”

Arci also welcomes being one of the new co-hosts of Willie Revillame in ‘Wowowillie’. “It’s fun hosting a noontime show. Enjoy ako. Dahil sa exposure ko rito, mas nakikilala rin ako ng tao.”

She’s supposed to join Miss World Philippines but she backed out. What happened? “Simply because ang dami kong commitments sa TV5. Unahin ko muna ito as I have a contract with them.”
