Cesar Montano Hurt By Allegations That Marital Rift Is Mere Gimmick To Promote His New Film

CESAR MONTANO pooh poohs the allegation of some folks that the reports on his marital rift with wife Sunshine Cruz is just a gimmick to promote his new movie, “Alfredo S. Lim, The Untold Story”, and his new TV show, TV5’s “Never Say Goodbye”.

“It would be foolish of me na gawing gimmick ang personal life ko,” he says. “Marriage is a sacred matter dahil sacramento yan. At saka hindi naman makakatulong sa isang movie or TV show ang ganitong mga tsismis dahil negative publicity lang nga mga ito. Lahat ng nagbibigay ng kung anu-anong haka-haka about our relationship, hindi naman sila nakakatulong. Hayaan na lang sana nila kaming mag-asawang ayusin ito on our own. Sino ba ang may gustong magkaroon ng isang broken family?”

Cesar says “Alfredo S. Lim” can stand on its own. “Hindi ito basurang pelikula. It’s an inspirational story of how a man na pinaampon, lumaki sa hirap na walang magulang, can rise and achieve greatness. Yun ang point ng buong movie. Para ipakitang may pag-asa ang lahat, kung magpupunyagi lang sila sa buhay, gaya ng ginawa ni Mayor Lim who should inspire all of us.”

Going back to his wife Sunshine Cruz, looks like Cesar still can’t control her wanton Tweets. Her latest Twit says she no longer wants to use Montano as her family name: “I just want to let you all know that my new username on Twitter is now @sunshinecruz77.” 77 is the year she was born.
