Is it true Nora’s character will eventually be killed as she’s always absent due to health reasons? “No, nandun pa rin naman siya. But you can see she really suffers as the day goes on. Pag gabi na, nag-iiba na ang boses niya, very hoarse na. The production has to make adjustments due to her health concerns.”
Won’t she anymore go to the U.S. to renew her green card? “Tutuloy pa rin siya. Importante yun. We’re just hoping she’d still be able to tape with us before she leaves. As of now, tapos na yung third week namin. We’re now taping our fourth week so nakapag-banko naman kami ng enough episodes hanggang sa makabalik siya rito.”
What does he think are the chances of “Never Say Goodbye” that starts airing tomorrow after “Kidlat” against the more established shows of the other networks? “What we offer is an option in primetime viewing. Alam kong malalakas ang mga kasabay namin. Our show is visually rich. Naghihirap si Nora umakyat ng 500 steps makarating lang doon sa beautiful rose farm in Benguet where we shoot her scenes. The story is about love at punong-puno ng puso. We leave it up to the viewers kung gusto nila ng ganitong realistic and well acted story about true love and the different ways of loving where they can identify sa pinagdaraanan ng mga characters. Kasi baka naman sawa na sila sa puro mga fantasy, so ito yung alternative for them.”
