Bossa Nova Queen Sitti topbills summer specials in Boy Abunda's Food Republique Resto

BOSSA NOVA Queen Sitti is glad to be back on stage in Viva Atlantis Productions of “Full Monty”, where she shares topbilling with Mark Bautista, Arnell Ignacio and Marco Sison. This will be her third musical after “Spring Awakening” and “Nine”. She has also acted in teleseryes, “Ysabella” and “Angelito”, but she finds theatre a more challenging medium. “Hindi kasi puede ang take two rito, unlike sa TV where you can ask for a retake,” she says.

Sitti is also the featured star in Boy Abunda’s Summer Special Musical Treats for his resto, Sir Boy Food Republique at 29 Panay Ave. near corner Roces Ave. She’s the main attraction in its musical show this Friday, with Jayke Reyes as front act.

“Summer is definitely in the air,” says Sir Boy. “We want to make summertime bonding with family and friends extra special so we’ll feature top artists in Food Republique from March till May while they enjoy our eat-all-you-can buffets.”

Joy Gutierrez, head of sales and marketing, says there will be various buffet offerings to suit all kinds of patrons. They have P99 lunch buffet with 5 dishes, 5 desserts and 5 drinks to choose from. They also have a merienda buffet by 3 PM with pasta, pancit, ginatan, dinuguan at puto, halo-halo, sago’t gulaman and sandwiches. Then they have a special P199 buffets with 8 special dishes and a P299 weekend buffet with 13 dishes and drink all you can. Sitti’s show will be for only P500, plus eat and drink all you can. Their best sellers are their caldereta and kare-kare. For reservations, call 376-0123 or 0917-6388003. They’re also open to birthday, wedding and graduation celebrations. Sir Boy’s Food Republique will be closed from Holy Thursday to Black Saturday and reopens on Easter Sunday with special Easter eggs for kids. Meantime, La Carmela de Boracay in the beautiful island of Boracay will also offer shows in April, topbilled by Jon Santos and Sitti.
