KATHRYN BERNARDO and Daniel Padilla were pressured by some writers at the presscon of their film, “Must Be... Love”, to admit that they’re already going steady.
“Wala naman pong dapat aminin,” says Kathryn. “Basta we cherish what we have now, yung friendship namin bilang magka-love team. Di naman kailangang mag-apura.”
“Basta masaya kaming magkasama,” says Daniel. “Enjoy kami sa isa’t isa kaya sana, huwag nyo na lang kaming madaliin. Masaya kami noong Valentine’s Day. Nag-movie marathon kami.”
What’s his gift for her? “Pagmamahal habang buhay.”
Their love team was first noticed on TV in “The Princess and I”. Star Cinema then cast them as support in two films: “24/7 in Love” and “Sisterakas”. Now, they’re on their own in “Must Be... Love”, written by Mae Chua & Melai Monge, and directed by Dado Lumibao who also helmed them in “Princess and I”. They play best friends Pachot and Ivan. Pachot is the tomboyish daughter of John Estrada and she has a secret love for Ivan who ignores her and falls for a pretty girl, played by newcomer Liza Soberano.
But it’s easy to guess that in the end, they will end up in each other’s arms. Also in the cast are Ramon Christopher, Arlene Muhlach, Janus del Prado, John Lapus, Keith Thompson, Miguel Morales, Paul Salas, Sharlene San Pedro and Cacai Bautista, opening in theatres on March 13.
