Jose Manalo & Wally Bayola To Rock Araneta Coliseum For The Second Time

JOSE MANALO and Wally Bayola’s “All for Juan” concert on March 2 last year was the biggest hit among local concerts last year at the Big Dome. Now, to herald in the coming of summer, they’ll have another concert this Friday, March 15, “Jose and Wally, A Concert Party for Juan and All”, also at Araneta, and they say they’re more pressured now than when they did their first concert.

“Ibang-iba ito sa first concert namin,” says Jose. “Doon, we still had rest periods. This time, we’ll be on stage all the time. Even our costume changes, doon na rin gagawin on stage. Laging maraming nangyayari on stage to make sure there would be no lull at tuloy-tuloy ang kasiyahan para sa audience.”

“Kailangan kasi, matapatan namin o mahigitan yung mga ginawa namin sa unang concert,” adds Wally. “Our writers said, itong mga ginawa natin noon, anong gagawin natin ngayon para malampasan yan? Kaya magugulat ang mga tao sa dami ng aming gagawing pasabog.”

Are they getting a higher talent fee this time? “Ay, wala sa’min yun,” says Jose. “Hindi naman namin ito ginagawa ng dahil sa pera.”

“Alam naman nina Ma’am Malou (Choa Fagar) ang worth namin at kung ano yung inaakala nilang dapat para sa amin, di na kami magde-demand pa,” adds Wally.

Directed by Phillip Lazaro with Jimmy Antiporda as musical director, their guests are Bossing Vic Sotto, Dingdong Dantes, Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Jericho Rosales, Bamboo, Pokwang and new child sensation Ryzza Mae Dizon who’ll ask the audience to dance her signature cha cha. Tickets are available at SM Ticketnet outlets at 911-5555 and Araneta ticket booths.
