“Kasama ko siya sa ‘Tween Hearts’ and the movie ‘Oros’ and I think deserving naman siya as she has already proven that she can act,” he says. “I’m happy for her kasi ibang combination naman ang mapapanood dito sa ‘Kakambal ni Eliana’ with her, Enzo and me bilang magka-love triangle.”
Among the Tween actors of GMA, it’s obvious it’s he and Derrick Monasterio who are being groomed to leading men status. Derrick himself has acknowledged this.
“Yes, sabi niya, sa personal daw, mas guwapo siya sa’kin, but sa TV, mas telegenic ako sa kanya,” he laughs. “Ganun talaga ang mga biruan namin, e. Sinasabi ko nga sa kanya, insecure lang siya. But we’re really good friends and we’re happy for each other’s careers. Kasi ako, after ‘Pahiram’, heto nga, I have ‘Eliana’, at siya naman, after ‘Paroa’, nasa ‘Vampire ang Daddy Ko’ naman siya. So parehas lang kami.”
Like Derrick, he also sings well. He has just recorded a song that will be included in the Marian Rivera-Richard Gutierrez movie, “My Lady Boss”. “Ire-release daw yung as part of the original soundtrack album. The title is ‘I’ll Never Go’. I’ve also just finished shooting a movie for GMA Films, ‘Basement’, horror-thriller. I play a drug addict confined sa basement ng isang hospital, along with Louise de los Reyes, TJ Marquez and RJ Padilla.”
